History of CIOF
The 1st China International Optics Fair (CIOF) was held in 1985 in Shanghai. And then the exhibition venue was changed to Beijing in 1987, at the same time, the exhibition got the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Economic Relation and Trade (The Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China now), which meant it was certified to be the international optics fair officially. In 1997, this exhibition was named to be ‘CHINA INTERNATIONAL OPTICS FAIR’ officially, showing the international influence of the exhibition.
CIOF is held in Beijing in every autumn and it has a history of 32 years up till now. CIOF is now an important platform of communication, development and trade for the optics industry.
